Flying The Flag: Insult or Patriotism?

Malaysia is full of hypocrites.

As with religion, even our very patriotism is steeped in rituals and symbolisms. Instead of genuine care for the country.

We let corrupted officials run this country to the dogs. Be it the judiciary, the executive, the MPs in Parliament, even the enforcement including civil servants, city council, police and military. We allow racist teachers to call their students black monkeys and sons of bitches because they happen to be Indians. We allow enforcement officers to torture inmates in prison and detention camps! We have a University which only opens its door to ONE SINGLE MAJORITY RACE. Fuck. We even have Ministers and MPs who call for the blood of another race to flow!

But fly the nation's flag upside down, the same people who stretch out their hands to receive bribes and shout for the blood of others, and the people who stretch out their hands to give bribe and pretend to love all their countrymen, get all huffed and puffed and bothered.

Flying the flag upside down is an insult, it seems. Hah! And everything else happening in this country gives you pride?

According to the Prime Minister, who is currently embroiled in various corruption charges, those who fly the flag upside down should face action by the police (Malaysiakini).

According to some over emotional Malaysians, who consider democracy as the epitome of good governance, ISA should be used to jail those who fly the flag upside down (see below).

Hypocrites.

To those who feel insulted, I have THIS to say; Put the country back in order FIRST. Stop corruption, stop racism, stop cronyism, stop high profile crime suspects from getting away scot free, and make the judiciary trustworthy again, and THEN demand to us to fly the flag properly! This is OUR way of signaling that the problems in this country are serious, and requires equally serious attention. Pronto! If you have problems with us flying the flag upside down, then DO SOMETHING to make us fly the flag back upright. Instead of closing one eye to the issues that we try to highlight, and only focusing the other eye on a piece of symbol!

Damn. If the flag has a soul, she would hang her own head in shame at what she has ended up representing!!

Menghina bendera Kebangsaan adalah satu kesalahan yang amat besar (Eh...boleh tunjukkan di mana tercatat tindakan ini "satu kesalahan besar"?). Mereka inilah yang berpunca dan adalah contoh contoh yang amat baik sekali kepada golongan yang muda untuk tidak mempunyai perasaan patriotism (really? I thought being concerned about the state of the country is the very principle of patriotism?) terhadap negara. tindakan tegas harus diambil terhadap mereka ini. Tidak salah jika dijauhkan hukuman ISA terhadap mereka ini. Mereka ini layak ditahan di bawah akta hasutan. (So when will our sportsmen and women be ISA-ed for draping the flag over their sweaty bodies?) Sangat sangat diharapkan tindakan undang undang diambil terhadap "pengkianat" serupa ini. (Pengkhianat = Traitor. Hmm. If I am a traitor, what do you call corrupt officials? Loyal?) Tidak tahu langsung merhargai dan membagakan negara.

Jika dilihat dua daripada Bloggers tersebut juga menulis article yang seditious! mencuba mengungkitan perpecahan kaum di Bumi Malaysia ini (This must be the funniest statement in this article. Listen here, fool. The very moment students are segregated based on their race in Universities, and equities in KLSE listed companies are set aside for one race, the "perpecahan kaum" is concrete.). Antaranya tak bukan lagi, Zorro-unmasked dan Malaysian Indian Channel. Soalan saya, mengapakah tiada tindakan undang undang diambil terhadap mereka? Dimanakah keadilan kita? (Exactly. Di manakah keadilan di Malaysia??) Dimanakah undang undang kita? (Mana ada udang-undang kat Malaysia lagi?? Hakim pun sudah tak boleh diharap! Tanya si-Linggam!) Malaysia untuk orang malaysia! tetapi bloggers inilah yang berpunca terhadap segala galanya. Perpecahan kaum di Malaysia dan banyak lagi (Correct! Correct! Correct!). Penghinaan yang dibuat mereka sama sekali tidak harus dilakukan oleh yang lain oleh itu, tindakan harus diambil terhadap mereka sebagai satu pengajaran.

Hari Kebangsaan adalah hari yang membangakan kita seluruh rakyat Malaysia (You bangga? So kalo you bangga, semua orang pun kena rasa bangga jugak ke? Boleh senaraikan apa yang perlu dibanggakan?) , bukan kita meraikan hari yang mulia ini dengan menerbangkan bendera secara terbalik. Diharapkan sungguh, janganla rakyat malaysia lain terikut ikut cara cara mereka yang tidak bermoral dan berotak (Moral dan IQ pemimpin pun banyak kurangnya. So janganlah mempersoal moral dan otak rakyat di bawah pemimpin-pemimpin tersebut! Faham-faham ajelah...) seperti blogger itu! Jikalau Malaysia ini masih hidup, "Justice in malaysia still alive" (Sorry to wake you up. Justice is dead.) tindakan undang undang harus diambil. Mereka harus sedar kesilapan mereka. (Harus. Harus. Harus! Demokrasi atau Autokrasi?)
